Suite to the declaration of Ousmane Sonko calling for peaceful mobilisation and that of President Macky Sall calling for calm and serenity, the platform "Invisible Giants", a programme designed to make visible the excellent work of women who are agents of changeIn this regard, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is delighted and calls on all the living forces of the nation (religious guides, parliamentarians, notables, traditional chiefs, political leaders, CSOs, women's organisations, the private sector, etc.) to continue to mobilise in order to use all their power to ensure that calm and serenity can be established in Senegal.
The platform of the "Invisible Giants" demands an end to the arrests and intimidation of civil society organisations and calls for restraint and respect for the lives and dignity of all Senegalese in order to preserve peace, democracy and social cohesion, as we must continue to live together.
The "Invisible Giants" platform is committed to the preservation of peace, a resource so scarce on our continent that Senegal has always known.
